Computers. We use them to work, play, and create. That hasn't changed much recently, but where we use them has.

I'm not talking about the powerful computers we carry on our person. Where the actual computing is done has changed. We have transitioned from local computation, to cloud computation, to universal ubiquitous computation. Universal state machines create new demand for more and more powerful machines, better networking, and more reliable infrastructure.

If we project a path from today’s innovation towards predictable next steps, it becomes clear we are entering an age of explosive demand for innovation and creativity. Technological tribalism is birthing new technocracies as humans coalesce around emerging visions for the future. What an interesting time to be alive!
